The Disposal Services Authority (DSA), founded by the Ministry of Defence in 1994 and remains a Government body, manages all the disposals for the MoD and income produced from the sale of the disposals is fed back to the MoD. The DSA has spent the past 19 years developing its skills in disposals management and also its network of specialist disposal contractors. The experience and facility of the DSA is second to none when it comes to organising disposals, identifying and realising income, from what could often be deemed either valueless or cost negative items.
